So the next part of the hike had me freaked out, not just for myself, but also for my family. The word glymur means crash/rumble in Icelandic and refers to the enormous sound of the rushing falls. It is a interesting place and quite an enjoyable adventure walk. I am particularly grateful for how lame last year was, because it makes this new phase of life that much more special (and gave me a great perspective that I can use to encourage others.) The trail is like skiing the diamond slope with the risk being death instead of broken bones. Once you have crossed the river, you have a steep but reasonably short climb.
