Stories of the likes of Dally Messenger, Harold Horder and Frank Burge together with the histories of South Sydney, Eastern Suburbs, Norths Sydney, Newtown, Balmain and the rest are well established at NRL headquarters and throughout NSW.Throughout a series of articles, I will delve into what was happening north of the border and highlight another great rugby league competition rich in history – the Brisbane Rugby League (BRL).The story of rugby league in South East Queensland is one of struggle.
