I've educated myself more and more overtime and I don't think I'll be adopting a hermit crab from a place like Petsmart again unless they change the way they treat their animals.I hope there will come a day when we won't always have to avoid Petsmart.

Mine is great and has great conditions and all they need to survive until they get bought and taken home to perfect tats. Only 4 painted hermit crabs, not the whole entire tank. I think we should buy the hermit crabs with painted shells so we can help them and whent ehy change shells give them choices that aren't painted! Not only have I had problems at petsmart with hermit crabs, but also with fish and frogs! I also smelled a foul fishy odor and there where atleast 3 dead hermit crabs out of their shells.
