Example : a player does 1 stack at 100dps and a totem does 2 stacks at 50dps, Scorching ray stacks will be 3 stacks of 100 - 30 - 30 = 160 damage per second and penetrate 9% fire resistance. Pretty sure Scorching Ray refreshes the stack constantly while it's in the beam so any amount of cast speed can get max stacks. The first couple levels can seem slow if you can't afford any of the recommended Uniques, but as soon as you get Holy Fire node and Pyre rings, your Searing Bond/RF Totem becomes extremely powerful and melts everything on your way. I was gonna use my totem to make the monsters weak to fire, then scorching ray or vice versa lol would that work well with totems? Since our totems will be doing most of the work, our only job is to throw a searing bond down and stand out of bad stuff.
