Tapirs, Polar bears, sharks and a touch pool in the aquarium were the staff was very knowledgeable about the variety of sea life.Took our grandson and granddaughter to zoo. The kids enjoyed the playground area. Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium is situated 2600 feet southeast of Point Defiance Park. The Point Defiance Zoo isn’t overly big, which is kind of nice really. The road network also passes by Fort Nisqually.
